Forte Migration

At the September 2003 SunNetwork Conference held in San Francisco, Sun Microsystems announced that the Forte/UDS platform will go into maintenance mode starting in 2004. From 2004 to 2008, support for Forte will reduce until it is completely phased out in 2008. During this period, licensing and support costs are expected to rise and minimal new functionality is expected to be added.

Agile ITP, a participant of the SunNetwork 2003 Conference, was identified by Sun Microsystems as a partner for Forte to Java migration. Since then, we have been working with Sun and its Forte customers in providing migration solutions to ensure a smooth transition to current technology like Java and J2EE. Agile ITP has developed a migration methodology and suite of products to provide a reliable, cost-effective and risk-free alternative to this otherwise complex problem.
