Java or .NET

Java and .NET are the two major platform available in the industry for enterprise application. Both these platforms are very similar in nature and provide the features desired in enterprise applications including maintainability, ease of development, productivity, performance, scalability, security, etc.

The debate on which is the better platform rages on and both sides provide arguments to convince customers that one is the clear and obvious choice. At Agile ITP, we believe that the choice of target platform depends on the customers' unique requirements and goals from the migration. The decision to choose one platform over another is a difficult one to make. Typically, this decision would be made during the Forte assessment phase.

From a pure migration point of view, it is our experience that there is no difference in migrating to either platform. It is equally easy or difficult to migrate from Forte to Java or .NET. Once a decision is made, we make the job easier for our customers as both our products - F2JXlator and F2NXlator - are equally stable, robust and accurate.
